Celebrating World Mental Health Day 2024 with Runspire Nottingham


World Mental Health Day on Thursday, 10th October is a powerful reminder of the importance of mental health and well-being. At Runspire Nottingham, we’ve seen firsthand how group exercise and social activities can transform lives—not just physically, but mentally and emotionally as well.


The Mental Health Benefits of Group Exercise


Did you know that regular physical activity can reduce symptoms of anxiety and depression by up to 30%? For many of our participants, it’s not just about getting fit—it’s about feeling better in every aspect of life. Being part of a supportive community, moving together, and achieving goals alongside others creates an environment where people thrive.


We often hear from our participants that our sessions are life-changing. Whether it’s the camaraderie of Nordic walking, the structured support of Couch to 5K, or the fun of our social runs beyond C25K, the benefits are far-reaching.


Join Us for “Bring a Friend for Free” on Thursday, 10th October


To celebrate World Mental Health Day, we want to spread the mental health benefits of group exercise even further! That’s why we’re offering a special “Bring a Friend for Free” to all of our sessions on Thursday, 10th October.


If you’ve been thinking about joining us, or if you’re already a part of the Runspire Nottingham community, this is the perfect opportunity to bring a friend and experience the benefits together! Our sessions include:


  • Nordic Walking

  • Couch to 5K

  • Social Runs beyond Couch to 5K


These sessions are designed to be inclusive and fun, welcoming all levels of fitness. Plus, they’re a fantastic way to support both your own mental health and that of your friends.


How You Can Get Involved


We invite everyone to take part in this celebration of mental well-being and exercise. Bring a friend, and let’s move for our mental health together! Whether you’re taking your first steps in a Couch to 5K session, enjoying a scenic Nordic walk, or joining one of our social runs, you’ll experience the joy and support that comes from being active in a community.
