We’re here to make running and walking accessible and enjoyable for all, no matter your experience or fitness level. From gentle strolls to social runs, our sessions are designed to uplift, energise, and connect. And our golden rule? No one gets left behind!

Since February 2022, we’ve been transforming lives through movement and connection. Backed by passionate volunteers, we’re proving that fitness is not just about moving, it’s about thriving together.

Our Journey: A New Chapter Begins!

Originally launched as Bulwell Runners, our charity has profoundly impacted the Bulwell community since day one. Our first session, held on February 22nd, 2022, attracted just six people. Since then, Bulwell Runners has grown beyond expectations, now welcoming 20 participants at each of our twice-weekly sessions. The success and positive influence we've had on our members and the broader community have surpassed anything we ever imagined! Our participants are supported by an amazing team of volunteers, including one Level 3 Personal Trainer, six England Athletics-trained Run Leaders, four Walk Leaders, two Nordic Walking Instructor. We also have Mental Health First Aiders on hand to provide guidance and support to those in need. As we evolve into Runspire Nottingham, we’re excited to expand our reach with new locations and projects aimed at helping people across Nottingham, both young and old. Currently, we offer sessions at Ken Martin Leisure Centre, The Lenton Centre, and Victoria Leisure Centre, with more to come! Stay tuned by visiting our website for updates on new locations and upcoming projects. We can't wait to continue this inspiring journey with you!

Paul Hopkins

Founder | Charity Development Officer | Run Leader

Wow, what an inspiring story! In February 2022, Paul founded a charity that is making a real difference in the world. During the Covid-19 lockdown, he discovered the power of running and walking and even became a personal trainer, run leader, and Nordic Walking Instructor. Paul's dedication and passion are truly admirable!

Adele White

Bulwell Branch Development Officer | Run Leader | Walk Leader

Adele's dedication and passion for running is truly inspiring. Starting as a participant in the Couch to 5K course, she has now become a walk leader, run leader, and is even training to be a running coach. Her commitment to the group has led her to take on the role of Bulwell Branch Development Officer, helping with the expansion project of Runspire Nottingham. Adele's contributions have been invaluable and we are grateful to have her as part of our team.

Bev Mellors

Bev has been an integral part of our team since day one! Her unwavering dedication to organising the sessions and inspiring all who participate is truly remarkable. We are so lucky to have her on board!

Mandy Smith

Stuart Falconer

Run Leader

Stuart is an enthusiastic volunteer who has been supporting our sessions at the Bulwell branch every Tuesday evening for over two years now. We are grateful to have as a valued member of our team

Emma Hopkins

Trainee Run Leader

Emma has been with us since Day 1. a runner since 2019, she enjoys both walking and Nordic walking. She has completed over 100 park runs and finished the Rob Burrows Leeds Marathon. Emma consistently encourages members with her motto: "Hills are our friends."

Trainee Run Leader

Sue is an incredible motivator! She began her journey with us through the Couch to 5K program and has continued to grow stronger. Her group warm-ups have become legendary!

Charlotte Brown

Tail Walker | Volunteer

Charlotte is an invaluable member of our team. She consistently goes above and beyond to our participants, particularly when it comes to their mental health and well-being. We are grateful to have her on board and appreciate all that she does to make our sessions success.
